Dinant…a wonderful city just 1:30 h of Brussels, in Belgium


Dinant is a very nice little town, quiet and cozy located in Belgium and It is about 40 miles south of Brussels and 12 miles south of Namur, the regional capital. It is a highly acclaimed tourist destination in the Walloon part of Belgium and French here has great popularity.

Getting here is very easy. There are direct trains from Brussels to Dinant, via Namur and trains take about 1:30h, running approximately every hour from the North, Central and Midi stations in Brussels.

Be prepared for an extraordinarily beautiful city that offers a unique experience through its picturesque style. Although it is not a city known of a lot of people, lately, tourists have invaded its streets and its attractions such as: the Citadel and the Notre Dame Cathedral.

The Citadel is located on top of the rock that dominates the city, in the immediate vicinity of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, rebuilt in Gothic style on the ruins of a church which was destroyed, representing the symbol of the city, thanks to its impressive architecture.
