The whitest beach in the world???


Whitehaven Beach in Queensland, Australia, lies approximately 1125 km north of Brisbane, in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef and is considered the whitest beach in the world.

The island is accessible by boat through the ports of Airlie Beach and Shute Harbor.

This oasis of pure white was discovered by explorer James Cook, in 1770, giving it the name of Whitsunday, which means the ‘’Pentecost Sunday’’.
